If you like to be active during your winter vacation, there is also plenty to experience around the Wilder Kaiser away from the ski slopes.

Around the Wilder Kaiser there are approx. 148 km of perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails, which meet every requirement thanks to their varied routes. We would like to introduce you to two of these cross-country ski trails today.

Schattseitloipe

The starting point is the parking lot at Ahornsee, from where the trail leads along the lake towards the edge of the forest. The trail continues to the district of Hauning and past the district of Gänsleit back to the Ahornsee. Without doubt the best trail to enjoy the winter tranquillity and the imperial panorama in Söll.

Söll-Itter cross-country ski trail

The connecting trail between Söll and Itter, where you pass the traditional Unterinntaler Einheitshöfe, is extremely quiet. Itter is best known for its castle – a magnificent 19th century building. The view of the Kelchsau and Wildschönau in particular is definitely worth the effort.

If you don’t have your own cross-country skiing equipment, that’s no problem. Here in the village you can hire equipment for one or more days.

When it comes to cross-country skiing and the best trails for your requirements, our team will of course be happy to help you personally at any time.
